Holy Week 2017
Christ is Risen! Alleluia. He is Risen, indeed!
I greet you with this ancient Easter greeting and hope that you are experiencing some of the hopefulness, joy, and possibilities connected with the celebration of our Lord’s Resurrection from the Dead and his victory over sin, evil, and death.
During the next 50 days (the “50 days of Easter”) which end on Pentecost Sunday, June 4, the Immanuel church family will engage in “50 Days of Prayer.”
As you can see on the prayer calendar (click on link below), on each of these 50 days we will be praying by name for the members and friends of our church family - including you!
Can you imagine the spiritual goodness and power that will be generated each day when hundreds of members and friends of the Immanuel family focus their prayers? Can you imagine how you will feel or how you might be affected when you are being prayed for by name?
It is my hope and prayer that you will participate in this special prayer emphasis. Here are a couple of suggestions that might be helpful:
I thank you in advance for your prayers.
God’s Peace and Easter Blessings!

It is my hope and prayer that you will participate in this special prayer emphasis. Here are a couple of suggestions that might be helpful:
- Put the prayer calendar in a place where you will see it and use each day.
- After you have prayed, cross out that day on the calendar to note your progress or as a reminder to catch up.
- If you miss a day or two, don’t worry; just catch up on another day. Or, if you have to, skip the missed day/s and continue.
- If you feel moved by the Holy Spirit, let people know that you prayed for them. Place a phone call, send a note, tell them in person, etc. This will be meaningful.
I thank you in advance for your prayers.
God’s Peace and Easter Blessings!
