Biography of Dr. James Clements
In 1958 Jim graduated from Olney High School, and Muhlenberg College in 1963. He earned the Master and Doctorate degrees in education from Temple University. Jim served the School District of Philadelphia as a teacher, principal and district superintendent. Jim also contributed in the planning and establishment of two charter schools in the city.
The Immanuel congregation was fortunate to have a master of organ and accomplished choir director for their services for over forty years. Jim brought a rich wellspring of sacred music to the Immanuel. He retired in 2017.
